Agrivoltaics (Solar System & Demonstration Farm)

Help harness the sun to both produce power and grow crops through this innovative agrivoltaics installation that will serve as Lonyi Village's primary energy source. Beyond reliable electricity, this project teaches residents how to grow vegetables and new crops, improving food security while creating economic opportunities and sustainable livelihoods for the community.

Career Technical Training Workshop

The welding and carpentry containers are already onsite and fully equipped with tools—we just need to complete the workspace and overhead structure. This workshop will enable us to build the rest of Lonyi Village while providing on-the-job training that gives local laborers valuable skills for future employment and economic opportunity.

Total Cost: $60,000

Virtual Learning Classroom & Internet Café

With the foundation and simulation container lab already complete, we're ready to construct the Virtual Learning Classroom that will also serve as a community internet café. This Innovation Learning Center will become the hub for continuing medical education across the entire West Nile sub-region, training the next generation of healthcare providers and community leaders.

Hands-On Classroom & Debriefing Space

Adjacent to the virtual learning classroom, this hands-on classroom will teach practical lifesaving programs like Helping Babies Breathe and serve as a debriefing area following simulation training. This critical space will ensure knowledge from the simulation lab translates into real-world skills that save lives.

Total Cost: $130,000

Washrooms

Providing WASH facilities in a community like Moyo is critical to improving health, and these washrooms will serve all buildings in Phase 1 of Lonyi Village. Safe, clean, and reliable sanitation is a simple step that has a huge impact on the lives of everyone who uses the campus.

Dean Riesen Opportunity Center Showroom

Thanks to a generous sawmill donation from Wood-Mizer and collaboration with the University of Arizona's architecture school, we'll design and produce our own furniture for Lonyi Village. This showroom will allow us to sell pieces to the public, combining skills training with recurring revenue generation that creates sustainable support for our mission to transform the community.

Moyo General Hospital Water & Power

As Bernard Bessi said, "a hospital without water and power is sick itself"—and Moyo's only hospital desperately needs reliable water and electricity. This project resolves critical infrastructure issues at Moyo General Hospital, making it an island of health excellence and directly improving care for the entire district.

Total Cost: $100,000

Moyo General Hospital Staff Housing Renovation

Built in 1970 and never renovated, Moyo General Hospital's dilapidated staff housing makes life far harder than the already demanding jobs require, hampering efforts to recruit and retain skilled professionals. Your gift renovates two housing blocks with six units each, providing safe and comfortable homes for 12 healthcare professionals and their families.
