Volunteer Sewing Ministry
Every year, a dedicated group of women gathers at Shepherd of the Hills Church in Fountain Hills with sewing machines, fabric, and an unwavering commitment to babies they will likely never meet. Known as Stitchers of Hope, this group hand-makes baby bag kits complete with baby blankets, baby caps, and reusable menstrual hygiene kits, sending 150 sets with each Pipeline trip, 300 every year. To date, they have donated more than 1,200 sets to families in Moyo District.
Their generosity doesn't stop there. Stitchers of Hope also hand-sews kangaroo care wraps for the neonatal care unit at Moyo General Hospital, providing a simple but essential tool that helps the smallest and most vulnerable babies survive and thrive. With more than 1,500 wraps donated to date, this group of volunteers has quietly become one of Pipeline's most consistent and impactful partners, proving that hours spent at a sewing machine can ripple across an ocean.
