Mother, Village Health Team Member
Christine Penitia's story is one many in Moyo know well; she was a featured character in Pipeline's short film, Now You See Us. A mother of two, Christine has turned her own experience into a source of strength for other women in her community, serving as a Village Health Team member who helps mothers navigate challenges most people never see.
Christine also started a support group for parents raising children with disabilities, creating a space where families who once felt isolated now find understanding and practical help from people who truly understand what they're facing. Her willingness to open her own life to the camera, and to open her home and time to other parents in need, embodies exactly what it means to be an Unseen Champion: someone whose impact is felt far beyond what any spotlight could capture.
