The relationship began through Ken Kobs, president of Pipeline's Development Board, and has grown into one of the organization's most impactful corporate partnerships.
Over the years, Smith+Nephew has donated significant equipment and supplies to support orthopedic care in the region. In 2026, that commitment reached new heights: the company awarded Pipeline a grant that included $77,000 worth of orthopedic instruments, now being put to use at St. Mary's Hospital Lacor in Gulu, Uganda. This gift will directly expand the surgical capabilities available to patients who might otherwise have no access to orthopedic care at all.
