Village Ambulance Garage

Fundraising Goal:
$7,500

In June 2022, Pipeline Worldwide donated the first two village ambulances to Aya and Kweyo villages in Moyo, Uganda. Prior to these donations, these remote communities have lacked access to emergency transportation that would get expecting mothers and other emergency situations to nearby health centers. Many treatable conditions have resulted in unnecessary deaths.

As part of our agreement with these villages, they will provide funding for fuel and will pay for the drivers. Additionally, they will track cases and submit reporting so we can analyze performance and impact.

In efforts to further develop the Village Ambulance Initiative, Pipeline Worldwide will design and build a garage for the village ambulance through our partnership with the College of Architecture, Planning and Landscaping Architecture at the University of Arizona. The multipurpose garage will provide security, maintenance, driver lodging, and public health education.
