Christine is a mother of two, an orphan, and a true champion in her community.
Her firstborn, Destiny, suffered oxygen deprivation during a delayed delivery — a tragedy that left him with multiple disabilities. He cannot walk, talk, or feed himself. He requires constant, full-time care. Christine’s infant also needs special attention. And she faces it all alone.
With no family support, every task — from fetching water and firewood to tending her garden and cooking meals — falls solely on Christine. Nothing can wait. Every day is a fight for survival.
And yet, Christine chooses hope.
Despite the daily hardships, Christine has become a Village Health Team member. She uses her voice and strength to encourage other mothers — to advocate for better care, to stand tall in adversity, and to believe in a better future.
She dreams of sending both her children to school. She believes they deserve more than just survival — they deserve opportunity.
This Mother’s Day, honor Christine’s courage — and stand with mothers who are lifting entire communities, even when they’re barely standing themselves.
Support Christine. Empower mothers. Give the gift of hope.
