Faith Technologies demonstrates how corporate partnerships can achieve complex, multi-month collaborations that deliver precisely what humanitarian organizations need most. Despite having no prior relationship with Pipeline Worldwide, they embraced a challenging project that required extensive coordination and technical expertise.
Faith Technologies was introduced to Pipeline Worldwide through board member Mike Burke of DMB Associates. When approached about Pipeline's solar infrastructure needs, Faith Technologies didn't hesitate to commit, despite the complexity of what Pipeline required.
Their project involved filling an entire shipping container with solar panels and mounting structures for two distinct locations: St. Thomas Aquinas College and Moyo General Hospital. This required Faith Technologies to source products from their supplier, Greentech Renewables, demonstrating their willingness to leverage their supply chain relationships for humanitarian purposes.
The technical complexity of the project required Faith Technologies to provide engineering expertise beyond simply supplying products. They helped review architectural designs to ensure proper equipment selection, verified that panel specifications matched electrical requirements, and coordinated with Pipeline's team to ensure compatibility with installation plans. This level of technical support is often unavailable to small nonprofits working in remote locations.
Logistically, the project required Faith Technologies to coordinate shipping to Minneapolis for container loading, arrange temporary storage solutions, and manage a timeline that stretched across three to four months. They navigated these complexities without compromising quality or timelines, ensuring that both the school and hospital received appropriate solar infrastructure.
The completed installations now provide sustainable power to critical educational and healthcare facilities in Moyo. Students at St. Thomas Aquinas College can study during evening hours with reliable lighting, while Moyo General Hospital can power essential medical equipment without depending on unreliable grid electricity.
Faith Technologies' partnership shows how companies can create significant humanitarian impact when they combine technical expertise, supply chain leverage, and project management capabilities with genuine commitment to making a difference.
